Pretty Little Liars Season 3 Episode 1 Premiere  Last night’s premiere, “It’s Alive,” picks up right where the first season finale left off, with Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily coming to the realization that, with Ian’s body missing from the church, no one in Rosewood believes their story that Ian tried to kill Spencer, and was killed by an unknown assailant in the process. The PLLs are taken to the police station by Garrett, unaware that he and Jenna are working together to undermine them.

Pretty Little Liars Season 3 Episode 1 Premiere After the ladies endure grilling by the police, they crash, waking up to find that all their parents are in Spencer’s house, staging a bit of an intervention. The parents have decided that their daughters need to see a therapist to get to the bottom of things. The ladies swallow their anger and resentment over not being believed and brace themselves for the head-shrinking to come. Their initial session with Dr. Anne Sullivan (ahh, those kooky PLL writers!), which Hanna is late for because a girl’s gotta get her shopping on, goes surprisingly for the girls, who find that Anne has a sympathetic ear, making them very comfortable. Hmmm…

Pretty Little Liars Season 3 Episode 1 Their first day back at school isn’t quite as smooth. Aria not only gets spooked by the return of Noel (whose knowledge of her relationship with Ezra can prove problematic at a moment’s notice), but she and Ezra are on shaky ground. She still can’t get over Ezra’s not telling her about his old girlfriend, and even his declaration of love doesn’t assuage her feelings of ambivalence towards him.
